Mikel Picked To Represent Chelsea In Judo, 1500 Meters At Olympics
Published: August 04, 2016Chelsea players Bertrand Traore and Asmir Begovi� have been answering questions from the editors of the official website of the Blues regarding the Summer Olympic Games.
The opening ceremony of the 2016 Olympic Games will take place at the Maracanã Stadium, Rio de Janeiro on Friday and the players were asked to pick one of their teammates to represent Chelsea in certain sports.
When quizzed who will represent Chelsea in Judo, Traore replied : “Obi for judo!”
Bosnian goalie Begovic thinks Mikel is the best Chelsea player at 1,500 meters, stating : “Who’s a steady Eddie? Maybe John Mikel Obi. ”
The 29-year-old Mikel will certainly be involved in this summer’s Olympic Games and will not be going to Rio as a tourist, as he will represent Nigeria in the soccer competition.
He has been appointed captain of the Dream Team VI and Team Nigeria.
