Sports Minister To Cheer On Nigeria In Showdown Against Sweden
Published: August 07, 2016Minister of Sports, Solomon Dalung, will be in the stands when the Nigeria U23s trade tackles with Scandinavians Sweden in their second Group B fixture in Manaus on Sunday night.
Dalung is presently in Brazil and will be amongst the spectators at the Arena da Amazônia, which has a capacity of 44,300.
Nigeria’s ambassador to Brazil visited the team in Manaus on Saturday and witnessed coach Samson Siasia’s technical session with his players.
Siasia now has 18 players available for selection for the game against Sweden, following the arrival of Osmanlıspor attacker Umar Aminu at the Tropical Hotel camp at about 2334 hours on Friday.
Nigeria will advance to the quarterfinal of the Olympic Games if they beat Sweden tonight.
