Catch up on the performances of players of Nigerian descent in the Football League Championship on Tuesday night.
At Elland Road, Super Eagles winger Sone Aluko went the distance as Fulham had to settle for a 1-1 draw at Leeds United.
Young stars Dennis Adeniran, Tayo Edun and Elijah Adebayo all featured for the U23 team of the Cottagers on Monday and were not involved in tonight’s clash.
Chelsea loanee Tammy Abraham’s three-game scoring streak came to an end as Bristol City were beaten 1-0 by Norwich City at Carrow Road. The England U19 international played the full game.
Dream Team VI trainee Viv Solomon-Otabor played the last six minutes of Birmingham City’s 1-1 draw with Wigan Athletic.
It was his first appearance in the division in the new season.
At the Molineux Stadium, Nigeria goalkeeper Carl Ikeme posted a shutout as Wolverhampton Wanderers drew 0-0 with Ipswich Town.
Ikeme and England U21 star Dominic Iorfa played the full game, while the young striker Bright Enobakhare was not in the 18-man squad.
In the UEFA Champions League, Kelechi Iheanacho remained on the bench for the entirety of Manchester City’s 5-0 rout of Steaua Bucharest.
