Published: August 22, 2016
Tottenham Hotspur U23s returned to winning ways in emphatic style by thrashing their Reading counterparts 4-1 at Hogwood Park Training Ground (Finchampstead, Berkshire) in the Premier League 2 on Monday afternoon.
As for team news, Nigeria U23 international Nathan Oduwa was named in the starting line-up of the White Hart Lane outfit for the second straight game, having started and played 75 minutes on the opening day of the season versus Everton.
On the other hand, Gabriel Osho, 18, suited up for the Royals for the first time in the new campaign, and was in action for the entirety of the contest.
Edwards opened the floodgates in the 32nd minute and it was Oduwa who set up the England youth international.
Edwards bagged his brace two minutes out of intermission before Miller put Spurs 3-0 up, firing a shot into the top corner after Oduwa had cut back from the left.
Nathan Oduwa, a former England youth-teamer, trained with the Nigerian Olympic Team this summer and participated in the Suwon Invitational Tournament in Korea, but did not make the cut for the Games in Brazil.
