Spurs Star Dele Alli Called Up To England Squad, Barkley Omitted
Tottenham Hotspur star Dele Alli has been called up to the England squad by new manager Sam Allardyce for the upcoming World Cup qualifier against Slovakia.

The attacking midfielder was the only player of Nigerian descent that made the 23-man roster, with Everton star Ross Barkley omitted despite his impressive start to the new season.

Both players were in the Three Lions squad for the European Championship this summer, though Barkley failed to appear on the pitch in all the matches contested in France.

The 20-year-old Dele Alli has played twelve times for England since making his senior debut in 2015.

England tackle Slovakia in the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia European Qualifiers (Group F) at City Arena, Trnava on Sunday, September 4.
