Adi Enters Portland Timbers History Books Again With Seventh Goal Against Seattle
Super Eagles hopeful Fanendo Adi was one of the four different players that found the back of the net as Portland Timbers defeated Seattle Sounders 4-2 at Providence Park in the American top-flight on Sunday.

Vytautas Andriuskevicius gave the home team the lead in the 16th minute before Adi doubled the advantage five minutes later, finishing a rebound after goalkeeper Stefan Frei had pushed the ball into his path.

Fanendo Adi’s 21st minute goal was his seventh career goal against Seattle Sounders since joining the club from FC Copenhagen in 2014, equaling the record previously held by
Byron Alvarez for most goals by a Timbers player against Seattle.

With 13 goals from 26 matches, the Nigerian striker has averaged 0.5 goals per game, and has accumulated 2,035 minutes of game time in the process.

Only Giovinco, David Villa, Bradley Wright-Phillips and Piatti have scored more goals than the Adi in Major League Soccer this term.
