Arsenal Striker Akpom Suggests Kanu Has Not Lost His Quality
Published: September 04, 2016 England U21 international Chuba Akpom has congratulated his mentor Nwankwo Kanu for netting a hat-trick in Saturday’s clash between Arsenal Legends and Milan Glorie at Emirates Stadium.
The retired Nigeria international opened scoring in the first half with a header, and he didn’t end there as he netted two more goals in the second half in the 4-2 win by the Gunners.
Reacting to the performance of Kanu, Akpom, 20, suggested that the former Arsenal 25 has not lost his quality.
“Uncle Papilo with a hat-trick in the #ArsenalLegends match 🔥🔥🔥 @papilokanu, ” tweeted Akpom.
Chuba Akpom had spent two years at the Arsenal Academy before Kanu left the club to join West Brom in 2004.
