Catch up on the players of Nigerian descent that were in action for their other nationalities in international matches on Sunday.
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli came off the bench in the 64th minute as England secured a 1-0 win over Slovakia in a World Cup qualifier held at City Arena, Trnava (Slovakia).
The 20-year-old now has thirteen caps for the senior national team of England since his debut.
At Belgium Football Centre, Tubize, England U19s lost 1-0 to Belgium. Fulham midfielder Adetayo Edun was introduced by manager Keith Downing with 15 minutes remaining.
England U20s suffered a narrow 2-1 loss to Brazil in Aggborough, Kidderminster. Fikayo Tomori and Josh Onomah started but the defender was replaced at half-time
Charlton Athletic striker Ademola Lookman earned his second cap for the squad following his introduction in the 46th minute and was impressive.
Malta were thrashed 5-1 by Scotland in a World Cup qualifier (Group F). Nigerian-born striker Alfred Effiong had the ball in the back of the net in the 14th minute to bring the scoreline to 1-1.
Effiong was booked in the 62nd minute, then got replaced in the 89th minute. Former Watford man Ikechi Anya was in action for the last four minutes for the Scots.
