Nigeria U23 Defender Still Unemployed After Playing At 2016 Olympic Games
Published: September 05, 2016
Nigeria U23 international Saturday Erimuya is on the lookout for a new club, allnigeriasoccer.com understands.
Last season, the central defender wore the jersey of Turkish club Kayseri Erciyesspor, with whom he signed a three-year deal in 2016 after attaining the age of majority.
Following the demotion of Kayseri Erciyesspor to the 2 Lig at the end of the 2015-2016 campaign, Erimuya has made it crystal clear that he does not want to return to the club and play in the third-tier.
The 18-year-old’s representatives are working on terminating his contract, with a view to him joining a new club when the transfer window reopens for business in January.
Saturday Erimuya, who is currently in Lagos, featured in the bronze medal match against Honduras at the Olympics and remained on the bench in Nigeria’s other fixtures.
