Six Nigerian Players Included In Arsenal Squad For UEFA Youth League

Six players of Nigerian descent have been included in Arsenal’s roster for the UEFA Youth League which begins next week.
Manager Andries Jonker has selected goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo, defenders Tolaji Bola, Joseph Olowu and Tobi Omole, midfielder Xavier Amaechi while Aaron Eyoma is listed as a forward.
Aaron Eyoma, 18, has represented the Gunners U19 squad in the UEFA Youth League before, during the 2014-2015 season, and scored against Galatasaray in the group stage.
On the other hand, Okonkwo, Olowu, Omole, Amaechi and Tolaji have no UEFA Youth League experience and will be hoping to play their first game in the competition, starting from Tuesday’s clash with PSG at the Stade Municipal Georges Lefèvre (Saint-Germain-en-Laye).
Arsenal’s remaining opponents in the group stage include Ludogorets and Basel.
