UEFA Youth League Wrap: Bola, Oteh Come Off Bench For Arsenal, Spurs; Kigbu, Okafor, Olowu Absent; Bennetts, Ughelumba Benched
Allnigeriasoccer.com reviews the performances of players of Nigerian descent in the UEFA Youth League on match day one.

Midfielder Noah Okafor was absent for Basel in their 1-0 win over Ludogorets U19 at Leichtathletik-Stadion St. Jakob.

England youth international Tosin Adarabioyo put in a ninety-minute shift in Manchester City’s 4-1 rout of Borussia Mönchengladbach at the Academy Stadium. Central defender Ashinme Kigbu did not feature for the Citizens.

Arsenal shared the spoils with PSG at the Stade Municipal Georges Lefèvre (0-0). Tolaji Bola appeared off the bench in the 82nd minute for the Gunners.

Goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo, defenders Joseph Olowu and Tobi Omole, midfielder Xavier Amaechi and Aaron Eyoma were not selected by the Gunners U19 coach.

England youth-teamer Layton Ndukwu impressed despite Leicester City losing 2-1 to Club Brugge in their debut in the competition. The winger played the full game while teammate Calvin Ughelumba was a non-playing substitute.

Over to Hotspur Way Training Centre (London), Timothy Eyoma logged in ninety minutes as Spurs lost 3-2 to Monaco. Aramide Oteh played the last five minutes of the contest after coming off the bench, while Keanan Bennetts remained on the bench.

Tottenham Hotspur’s other Nigerian talent, central midfielder Moroyin Omolabi, was not in the squad.

Moses Agoh missed Porto’s 4-1 win over FC Copenhagen at Centro de Treinos e Formação Desportiva PortoGaia (Vila Nova de Gaia).
