Scotland International Ikechi Anya Will Not Play Against Liverpool
Published: September 19, 2016Scotland international Ikechi Anya will miss Derby County’s EFL Cup Round Three match with Liverpool at iPro Stadium on Tuesday evening.
The 28-year-old is cup-tied, having represented former club Watford in their 2-1 loss to Gillingham in the last round.
In addition, Anya picked up an injury after landing on his rib two minutes before the end of the first half in the 1-1 draw at Bristol City last weekend, but should be fit for the upcoming game in the Championship against Blackburn Rovers.
The winger cum fullback committed his future to the Rams by penning a four-year contract in the summer transfer market.
He has also played for Granada, Celta de Vigo, Cadiz, Northampton Town and Wycombe Wanderers .
