Catch up on the performances of players of Nigerian descent in the League Cup Third round on Tuesday night.

We start off at the City Ground where Arsenal took on Nottingham Forest. England U21 international Chuba Akpom made his first competitive appearance for the first team of the Gunners this season, lasting 83 minutes on the pitch in their 4-0 win.

The Rams summer acquisition Ikechi Anya is cup-tied and was not selected in the 18-man squad.

Carl Ikeme watched proceedings from the bench as Wolves were beaten 2-0 at Newcastle United. England U21 international Dominic Iorfa played the full game for Wolves, Bright
Enobakhare did not feature.

Canada international Sam Adekugbe was not in the Brighton squad that lost 2-1 to Reading at The American Express Community Stadium.

Over to the King Power Stadium, Chelsea came from two goals down to beat Leicester City 4-2. Two Super Eagles stars made the starting line-up of their respective teams, Ahmed Musa and Victor Moses.

While Musa subbed out in the 76th minute, Moses logged 120 minutes and Ola Aina remained on the bench for Chelsea.

Nigeria captain Obi Mikel and England youth internationals Dominic Solanke and Fikayo Tomori were not involved.
