Desire Oparanozie Happy To Play In France After Wolfsburg Nightmare
Published: September 22, 2016Super Falcons star Desire Oparanozie believes her game has improved since joining Division 1 Féminine club Guingamp in 2014.
The striker’s move to Wolfsburg in Germany was celebrated but she struggled to tie down a regular shirt at the two-time UEFA Women’s Champions League winners and had to terminate her contract before its expiration.
A product of Delta Queens, Oparanozie has also turned out for Ata�ehir Belediyespor (Turkey) and Rossiyanka (Russia).
“Playing in France has been good. I feel very welcome here,” Oparanozie said to fifa.com.
“I’ve been happy since I got here and things have really improved compared to the other places that I’ve played in in Europe.”
The 22-year-old Oparanozie has 20 appearances to her name in Fifa tournaments for the national teams, scoring 5 goals.
