Watford Star Odion Ighalo : I Recommended Isaac Success To Super Eagles Coach
Published: September 22, 2016
Watford striker Odion Ighalo has exclusively informed allnigeriasoccer.com that he recommended teammate at The Vic, Isaac Success, to Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr when he was questioned about the qualities of the striker.
Ighalo has been excused from the game to attend his father’s burial in Ekpoma, Edo State but the Hornets are still represented in the roster, with Isaac Success called up to the senior national team for the first time in his career.
“I have not been invited because my dad’s burial falls on that weekend (October 8-9). I already told the coach and he understands me, ” Ighalo told allnigeriasoccer.com on Thursday evening.
“Then the coach asked me about Success and I told him he can pick Success, that he is a good player.
“I need to give my dad the last respect. ”
Isaac Success, 20, is one of four Golden Eaglets players class of 2013 called up, the others being Wilfred Ndidi (Genk), Musa Mohammed (Istanbul Basaksehir) and Kelechi Iheanacho (Manchester City).
