Man City Striker Iheanacho Is Nigeria Leading Light In Premier League
Published: October 04, 2016
Kelechi Iheanacho
City’s 20-year-old seems
to be firmly in new manager Guardiola’s plans and has hit the ground
running this season, recording three goals and assists from only eight
games.
With this record at such a young age and plenty time to develop, the forward has to be considered Nigeria’s most exciting talent.
However, he does have some strong opposition from within the Premier league…
Ahmed Musa
Musa
briefly became Leicester City’s record signing by Premier League
champions Leicester City, for a club-record fee that is thought to be
upwards of £16.6m. The forward netted 18 times for CSKA Moscow last
season and lit up Russia’s capital with glittering displays. Musa is
fast, aggressive and has slotted in perfectly to Claudio Ranieri’s
relentless system easily.
However, he is yet to find the net in a
competitive game for the high-flying Foxes and has seen playing time
hard to come by with Islam Slimani in lethal form.
With Nigeria internationals coming, be sure to check out Betway, which features features first goal of the match odds including Musa and of course Iheanacho to find the net first.
Odion Ighalo
Born
in Lagos and raised in Edo, Ighalo played in his homeland with Prime FC
and Julius Berger FC, before moving to Norway to Lyn and then being
sent on various loan deals by Udinese.
Ighalo is now in the
Premier League and staking his claim to be Nigeria most exciting talent,
Ighalo is excelling and transformed into one of the division’s most lethal marksmen last term.
The forward scored 18 goals last campaign, and looks set for another goal laden campaign.
Despite this, Iheanacho is Nigeria’s premier talent and at his young age, he can only get better and should excite the nation.
