Chelsea Loanee Abraham Debuts; Spurs Midfielder Onomah Benched As England Qualify For U21 Euros
Chelsea loanee Tammy Abraham made his competitive debut for England U21s in their 1-0 victory over Kazakhstan in a UEFA European U21 Championship Group 9 Qualifier on Thursday evening.

The Bristol City frontman had caps for England at U18 and U19 level before coming off the bench with five minutes remaining to make his maiden appearance for the U21s.

A goal from Leicester City starlet Demarai Gray after six minutes secured the three points for England and a spot at next summer’s Euro Finals in Poland.

Prior to today’s contest at Central Stadium, Aktobe, Josh Onomah had been in line to play his first game for the U21s but that didn’t happen, with the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder watching proceedings from the bench.

Wolves defender Dominic Iorfa is recovering from injury and was not in the traveling party to Kazakhstan.
