Zambia Coach Counting On Israeli League Striker Who Has Lost Scoring Boots
Published: October 08, 2016
Zambia coach Wedson Nyirenda says he is impressed with the commitment of Hapoel Ra’anana frontman Rodger Kola ahead of Sunday’s World Cup qualifier against Nigeria.
The Israeli-based striker was summoned to the Zambian team after Kaizer Chiefs ace Lewis Macha pulled out of the squad as a result of injury.
“Rodger is looking good, he is working very hard; it is as though he has not been away for a long time but he has integrated so well in the team.
“I think we are good, the best is coming from this team,” said Nyirenda to the Post.
Rodger Kola might have impressed Wedson Nyirenda during training but he is struggling in the Israeli top-flight, having failed to score a goal in a competitive fixture this season.
