Nigeria U23 Trainee Selbol Assists Swope Park Rangers Advance To Western Conference Final
Published: October 10, 2016Former Dream Team VI trainee Nansel Selbol starred as Swope Park Rangers qualified for the USL Cup Playoffs Western Conference Final after a hard fought 2-1 win over Orange County Blues FC on Sunday afternoon.
Introduced as an impact substitute in the 78th minute, the diminutive striker set up the game-winner netted by Dane Kelly in the first half of extra time.
On 120 minutes, Selbol had a chance to put Swope Park Rangers 3-1 up when he weaved into the box but his left-footed effort went too high.
Swope Park Rangers will face Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 in the Western Conference Final on Saturday, October 15.
The 19-year-old Selbol represented local sides Plateau United and C.O.D. United FC before his move to the United States.
