Mentor Backing Man City Wonderkid Iheanacho To Continue Goalscoring Run Against Algeria
The man who nurtured Kelechi Iheanacho for about eight years and the proprietor of Taye Academy, Kennedy Ezenwere, has predicted that his former pupil will continue his goalscoring run when the Super Eagles face Algeria next month.

The Manchester City striker has scored in each of his last four matches for the Super Eagles and will enter the history books if he finds the back of the net against the North Africans in Uyo, a feat the famous strikers that played for the national team did not achieve, including Rashidi Yekini, Segun Odegbami, Ike Uche, Martins and Aiyegbeni.

“Kelechi is best utilized as a support striker, he can play as an attacking midfielder, also play from the flanks because he is a natural left footer so can play from inside left, ” Ezenwere told allnigeriasoccer.com.

“He is good in taking free kicks. It is one hundred percent possible that he will score against Algeria. When he was in my team, almost all the competitions we participated he came out as highest goalscorer.

“Kelechi will tell me I will score two goals in this match and he always delivers. That’s a natural gift.”

The Super Eagles coaches have relied on the goalscoring prowess of Iheanacho in 2016,  with the City number 72 accounting for half of the eight goals notched by the national team.
