Mikel Expresses Sympathy With Chelsea Star Willian Over Death Of Mom
Published: October 13, 2016Super Eagles skipper John Obi Mikel has commiserated with his teammate at Chelsea Willian Borges da Silva on the passing away of his mother Dona Zeze.
Zeze passed away on Wednesday morning in Sao Paulo after battling with a tumor in the head that caused five surgeries and chemotherapy.
Chelsea have paid their respect to Willian’s mother via Twitter, expressing sympathy with the winger over the loss and their statement was retweeted by Mikel, showing he shares the pain of the Brazil star.
Chelsea stated : “All of us at CFC are sending our love to Willian and his family after the passing of his mother. We’re thinking of you @willianborges8.”
Willian dedicated the goal he scored against Venezuela in the World Cup qualifier to his mother, a day before she passed away.
