NFF Insist Passport Or No Passport Noah Bazee Will Make Super Eagles Debut, Fifa To Clarify
Published: March 05, 2017A Nigeria Football Federation international expert has insisted that Hannover striker Noah Joel Sarenren Bazee can suit up for the Super Eagles when they take on Senegal in an international friendly on March 23.
As we know it, the Lower Saxony-born talent has not yet obtained a Nigerian passport, which will definitely rule him out of a competitive fixture for the national team.
“Bazee will be allowed to play for the Super Eagles in London, he won’t be asked to show his international passport before the game, ” a well informed NFF official told allnigeriasoccer.com.
“No, we don’t have to reach any agreement with the Senegalese and Burkinabé Federation before the game to enable him play.
“If it is a competitive match, he must have the international passport, this is just a friendly match.”
It is correct both games are friendlies, however these days the governing body for football, Fifa, takes friendly matches between associations seriously as they are used to rank national teams each month and determine the seeding for its tournaments, especially the World Cup.
