Iwobi Dropped From Arsenal 18-Man Squad For The First Time In 33 Competive Games

Super Eagles attacking midfielder Alex Iwobi will play no part in Arsenal’s Champions League Round of 16, Game 2 tie against Bayern Munich at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night.
The Hale End Academy product has not been named in the starting eleven and is not among the seven substitutes.
Iwobi had made the Gunners matchday squad for 32 consecutive matches prior to tonight’s clash against the Bundesliga champions.
The 20-year-old was not in the squad that faced Leicester City and Watford in the Premier League in August 2016 due to a thigh injury and was rested for the League Cup tie with Nottingham Forest on September 20.
Bayern Munich number 27 of Nigerian descent David Alaba starts against the Gunners, who are trailing 5-1 from the first leg in Germany.
