Austria Vienna Star Olarenwaju Kayode Gets His First Nigeria Call-Up

Olarenwaju Kayode is in line to make his international debut for the Super Eagles before the end of this month.
Manager Gernot Rohr had to hand the Austria Vienna striker a late invitation for the international friendlies against Senegal (March 23) and Burkina Faso (March 27) following the withdrawal of Wolfsburg’s Victor Osimhen, who is still recovering from an injury.
“Olanrewaju Kayode of Austria Wien has been invited in place of Victor Osimhen, who is still recovering from injury,
” the Nigeria Football Federation said in a statement via Twitter.
A former youth international, Kayode represented the Golden Eaglets at the 2009 Fifa U17s, and was part of the Flying Eagles squad at Colombia 2011 and Turkey 2013.
He has scored 15 goals (6 assists) from 36 appearances across all competitions this term.
