Ex-West Brom Striker Ideye Debuts, Mikel Puts In Full Shift As Tianjin Teda Earn First Point
Published: March 10, 2017
Former West Brom frontman Brown Ideye made his competitive debut for new club Tianjin Teda in their goalless draw with Jiangsu Suning FC on game week two in the Chinese Super league on Friday afternoon.
The Nigeria international arrived in China barely three days before Tianjin Teda’s opening day clash against Shandong Luneng, so was not considered for selection by manager Jaime Pacheco.
Ideye, 28, was in action for ninety minutes and picked up his first booking in Chinese football after 28 minutes.
Super Eagles captain John Obi Mikel lasted the distance for the second consecutive game.
Tianjin Teda provisionally occupy the eleventh position on the 16-team table.
