Rohr Receives Fitness Boost As Iwobi Returns To Arsenal Training After A Bout With Flu
Published: March 11, 2017
Any doubt surrounding the availability of Alex Iwobi for the upcoming international friendlies with Senegal and Burkina Faso has ended, with the attacking midfielder returning to Arsenal training on Friday.
The Gunners had their final training session ahead of Saturday evening’s Emirates FA Cup meeting with Lincoln City, and the Nigeria international participated in full training.
Having missed training for most part of this week after contracting flu, it remains to be seen if manager Arsene Wenger will name Iwobi in his 18-man squad for the game against the best non-league team in England.
Iwobi’s return to training will be sweet music to the ears of Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr as the German is already sweating on the fitness of one of the strikers called up for the friendlies, Hannover’s Noah Bazee.
