Nigerian Star Kelechi Refuses To Expose Rivers United Ahead Of CAFCL Cracker
Published: March 12, 2017
Al-Merreikh’s Nigerian striker Kelechi Osunwa has tactically refused to give his coach the lowdown on Rivers United ahead of his side’s CAF Champions League meeting in Port Harcourt.
The prolific frontman still has a soft spot for Rivers United, having represented Dolphins for two years before moving to Sudan to link up with Al-Hilal.
“I have great memories of Port Harcourt and I am glad to be back to play against my former club even though they have now merged (with Sharks to form Rivers United), ” Osunwa said.
“It will be a great game on Sunday and we will see how it goes in the end.
“I didn’t really give tips (about Rivers United) to my coach (Diego Garzito) because most of the players are new players ”.
To get to this stage of the Champions League, Rivers United saw off Réal Bamako in the last round and did not concede in both matches.
