GK Daniel Akpeyi To The Rescue : Lands In London, Going Through Immigration
Published: March 23, 2017Chippa United star Daniel Akpeyi has just landed in London, ahead of Thursday evening’s international friendly between Nigeria and Senegal, allnigeriasoccer.com understands.
As at 0733 hours local time, the goalkeeper was going through immigration, before joining the Super Eagles squad at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
It should be noted that Daniel Akpeyi is not in London to make up the numbers as there are question marks surrounding the availability of first-choice goalkeeper Carl Ikeme, who suddenly fell ill.
The South African based netminder was in between the pipes in the Super Eagles last match, a World Cup qualifier against Algeria in Uyo in November 2016.
The encounter between Nigeria and Senegal will kickoff at the Hive Stadium at 2000 hours.
