Published: March 23, 2017
CD Feirense attacking midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo, goalkeepers Daniel Akpeyi and Ikechukwu Ezenwa are in high spirits as they prepare for Thursday evening’s international friendly match with Senegal.
The three players could not train with the Nigeria squad ahead of the game against the Teranga Lions because of a visa hitch which was finally sorted out.
FC Ifeanyi Ubah netminder Ezenwa only arrived the Crowne Plaza Hotel yesterday evening and he was later joined in camp by Nigeria U23 star Etebo that same day.
One of the two aforementioned African-based players will certainly be in goal today as Wolves star Carl Ikeme has been struck down with illness and unlikely to feature.
The Nigerian team beat Senegal 1-0 in the last encounter between the two countries back in 2006 at the African Cup of Nations.
