Super Eagles Stand-In Skipper Onazi To Undergo Scan Ahead Of Next Friendly

Trabzonspor star Eddy Onazi is racing to be fit for the Super Eagles proposed friendly against Burkina Faso at the Hive Stadium.
Nigeria manager Gernot Rohr will have to make a late decision on his stand-in captain if the game goes ahead on Monday after the defensive midfielder suffered what appears to be a serious back injury against Senegal two days back.
The latest update from the Crowne Plaza Hotel camp of the Super Eagles is that Onazi will have to undergo a scan to determine the extent of the injury, allnigeriasoccer.com has been informed.
Th ex-Lazio player had to be stretchered off the pitch before he was replaced by Hapoel Beer Sheva’s John Ogu in the 25th minute.
Onazi, 24, has captained Nigeria in three friendly matches against Mali, Luxembourg and Senegal.
