Spurs Defender Of Nigerian Descent Eyoma On Target As England Qualify For U17 Euro
Published: March 25, 2017Tottenham Hotspur defender of Nigerian decent Timothy Eyoma was on target as England U17s qualified for the UEFA European U17 Championship finals after thrashing Slovenia 4-0 at Gradski Stadion, Bijeljina on Saturday.
The 17-year-old Eyoma doubled the Young Lions lead in the 29th minute after City striker Jadon Sancho had opened the scoring.
The goal against Slovenia was his second for England U17s this season, having found the net in a 3-1 win over Belgium in August 2016.
Timothy Eyoma was promoted to the U17s after starring for the U15 and U16 national teams.
England will top Group 7 of the elite round if they avoid defeat in their final match against Bosnia and Herzegovina on Tuesday, March 28.
