Ebuehi Dad Happy ADO Den Haag Star Picked Nigeria Ahead of Netherlands
Published: March 26, 2017
Amsterdam–based businessman Marvin Ebuehi is delighted that his son, ADO Den Haag youngster Tyronne Ebuehi, has committed his international future to Nigeria ahead of his country of birth, Netherlands.
The right wing-back first had the opportunity to earn his first cap back in November 2016 against Algeria in a World Cup qualifier but rejected the invitation because he wanted to focus on his club.
“I must confess to you that I am glad that he has finally committed to Nigeria. I am very proud as a father ,” Marvin told thenff.com.
“The first call-up, there was a misunderstanding and things went the way they did, unfortunately.
“I apologise for that misunderstanding. I have always said that he would have to play for Nigeria at senior level, because I am proud of my country.”
Marvin Ebuehi was at the Super Eagles’ Crowne Plaza London Ealing hotel on Saturday with Dutch wife, Toos and a couple of in-laws.
