Leicester Coach Hails Man Of The Match : Ndidi Reminds Me A Lot Of Kante
Published: April 01, 2017
Leicester City coach Craig Shakespeare has showered praises on Wilfred Ndidi for his performance against Stoke City in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon, and has compared him to ex-Foxes hero N’Golo Kanté.
The Nigeria international opened his Premier League account with a trademark shot from 25 yards out, and the manager was not surprised by the quality of the goal, having scored similar goals against Derby County and Club Brugge.
“(Ndidi) is young and we don’t want to put too much pressure on him. He’s a humble boy and reminds a lot of Kante with his personality, ” said Craig Shakespeare
“First goal was always going to be crucial and what a goal it was. Ndidi has done that before. He’s got that in his locker.”
BBC Leicester Sport’s Matt Elliott gave the Man of the Match award to Wilfred Ndidi for his all-round performance.
The former Racing Genk star spent 744 minutes on the pitch in total before scoring his first goal in the English top-flight.
