Promising Nigerian Striker On Song Against Scottish Champions Celtic In Paradise
Published: April 06, 2017Promising Nigerian striker Adebayo Azeez rescued a point for Partick Thistle as they came from behind to hold Scottish champions Celtic to a 1-1 draw at Celtic Park on Wednesday night.
The 23-year-old flicked home a cross by Elliot in the 64th minute to earn a share of the spoils for Alan Archibald’s side after the home team had opened the scoring five minutes after the restart.
Azeez was very delighted to score his second league goal that he was booked by referee Aitken for his excessive celebration.
Born in London, the attacker had stops with Charlton Athletic, Wycombe Wanderers, Leyton Orient, Torquay United, Dagenham & Redbridge and AFC Wimbledon before joining The Jags last summer.
He has three caps for England U19 team which came in friendly matches against Faroe Islands, Ukraine and Finland.
