Chelsea Loanee Tammy Abraham Is A Penalty-Box Predator, Says Bristol City Boss
Published: April 10, 2017
Bristol City boss Lee Johnson has praised England U21 international Tammy Abraham after bagging a brace in his side's 3-1 win over Wolves in the Championship on Saturday.
The Chelsea loanee took his tally to 24 goals for the season, and Johnson has suggested that he is a penalty-box predator as most of his goals have come from close range.
''Tammy really cares. He actually apologises to me when he plays poorly, which says a lot about his maturity and character, '' Johnson said.
‘It has been a tough learning experience for him in the Championship this season against a lot of tough defenders.
''His finish for his second goal said everything about him. Most of his goals come from close range because his movement is so good.''
Apart from Chelsea, the Nigeria Football Federation are monitoring the performances of Tammy Abraham at Bristol City with a view to a possible call-up to the Super Eagles in the near future.
