Chelsea, Man City, Sunderland Nigerian Whizkids Nominated For European Golden Boy Award

Three talented Nigerian teenagers based in England have been nominated for the prestigious 2017 European Golden Boy, an award handed to the best player under the age of 21 in Europe.
The nominated players of Nigerian descent are Joel Asoro (Sunderland), Dominic Solanke (Chelsea) and Tosin Adarabioyo (Manchester City).
Ninety eight players have been shortlisted including Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford, Man City wonderkid Gabriel Jesus, Monaco starlet Kylian Mbappe and Bayern Munich midfielder Renato Sanches.
Sweden U21 international Asoro made his professional debut against Middlesbrough on August 21,2016, and became the youngest player of Nigerian descent to feature in the Premier League in the process.
Adarabioyo, 19, is one of the top talents at Manchester City and has appeared three times for the first team this season.
Chelsea striker Dominic Solanke needs no introduction, the England youth-teamer made his debut for the Stamford Bridge outfit against NK Maribor in the Champions League three years ago.
Wayne Rooney, Lionel Messi, Paul Pogba, Mario Gotze and Anthony Martial have won the award in the past.
