Agent Keeping His Fingers Crossed Over Availability Of Ex-Chelsea Star Mikel
Published: April 13, 2017
John Obi Mikel's intermediary John Shittu is not a hundred percent sure regarding the availability of his client for Sunday's Chinese Super League clash between Tianjin Teda and Guangzhou Evergrande at TEDA Football Stadium.
Two months before the crucial African Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa, the Super Eagles skipper missed the goalless draw against Guizhou Zhicheng last weekend after failing to recover from injury.
''We will see what happens this weekend, I am not the coach and won't know if Mikel will be selected,'' John Shittu told allnigeriasoccer.com.
If Mikel fully recovers from the muscle injury, that means the central midfielder or defender will face Guangzhou Evergrande, who are coached by ex-Chelsea manager Luiz Felipe Scolari.
