16-Year-Old Nigerian GK, Who Visited Rohr In London, In Line To Debut For AFC Wimbledon U23s
Published: April 19, 2017
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that ex-Golden Eaglets trainee Edward Ogbebor-Onaiwu could make his competitive debut for AFC Wimbledon's Development squad when they tackle Exeter City.
The highly-rated goalkeeper has been notified by The Dons coaching staff that he'll make the 18-man squad for Thursday's game at Weldon Way in Merstham.
Ogbebor-Onaiwu is inching closer to promotion to AFC Wimbledon U23 squad though he's still classed as an U16 player by the English authorities.
He features for the U18s regularly and was a non-playing substitute for the U23s in a London Senior Cup game earlier this season.
The former Charlton Athletic netminder and his intermediary held talks with Nigeria manager Rohr at the Crowne Plaza Hotel during the Super Eagles get-together in London last month.
