Osimhen Inching Closer To Pro Debut, Wolfsburg Announce He's Making Progress
Published: April 21, 2017Nigeria U20 international Victor Osimhen is inching closer to his professional debut, with Wolfsburg announcing that the striker is making progress in his recovery.
The former Golden Eaglets sensation had to undergo surgery in February, but resumed training with the Bundesliga club last week.
Speaking to reporters ahead of the match against Hertha BSC, manager Jonker said : ''Diego Benaglio, Ashkan Dejagah, Ismail Azzaoui and Victor Osimhen are doing well.
''They work hard. That's why I currently have 25 players on the pitch - when I started it was only 15. ''
A product of Ultimate Strikers Academy, Osimhen's agreement with Wolfsburg was activated in the January transfer window after attaining the age of majority.
