Rizespor Star Nosa Bares His Mind On Super Eagles Snub
Published: May 05, 2017
Nosa Igiebor has bared his mind on his lack of opportunities for the national team since the appointment of manager Gernot Rohr in 2016.
Nosa was invited for the African Cup of Nations and World Cup qualifiers against Tanzania and Zambia, but was not utilized by the German manager in both games, and the Rizespor star has not taken kindly to being named on the bench.
''I'll honor the call if I'm going the opportunity to play. But I won't come to sit on the bench,'' Igiebor told Brila FM.
''Truly, only 11 players can play. But, there's a way the Coach relates with you that gives you assurances.
''If the players are better than me, it's a different case, but not in this situation. I was ready to work.''
Igiebor's biggest achievement as an international player was helping the Super Eagles win their third African Cup of Nations title in 2013.
