Rotherham United Boss: Super Eagles Call-Up Has Cemented Ajayi's Confidence
Published: September 20, 2018Former Arsenal U23 skipper Semi Ajayi has shown his versatility for club and country in the current season, playing as a right back, central defender and central midfielder.
At Thursday morning's press conference, Rotherham United boss Paul Warne revealed that Ajayi has become very confident following his maiden invitation to the Nigeria National Team for the September games against Seychelles and Liberia.
On Semi Ajayi, Warne told iFollow Millers : ''He's doing alright to be fair. I miss him in midfield really but I think Woody likes playing beside him.
''He is really assured and really confident. I think him getting a call-up has cemented his confidence''.
Ajayi became cap-tied to Nigeria after playing the last 16 minutes of the Super Eagles 3-0 win against Seychelles in an AFCON qualifier and made his full debut against Liberia last week.
The 24-year-old has started and gone the distance in eight matches in the Championship this season.
