Nothing Wrong With Onazi: Trabzonspor Star Cleared To Play After Pulling Out Of AFCONQ Vs Libya
Published: October 22, 2018Super Eagles star Eddy Onazi is in contention to make his ninth successive start in the Turkish Super Lig when Trabzonspor lock horns with BB Erzurumspor on Monday evening, starting from 1800 hours Nigerian time.
It would be recalled that the holding midfielder claimed that he had to withdraw from the Nigeria squad for their two matches against Libya because of the inflammation in the Achilles tendon.
Upon Onazi's return to Turkey, he underwent MRI tests which showed that nothing was wrong with him.
The former Lazio man has been working out with the Trabzonspor first team and was pictured training during the club's final training session on Sunday.
Onazi has been one of Trabzonspor's most important players this season and everything indicates that he will be named to the 18-man squad for the game which will hold at Medical Park Stadyumu (Trabzon).
The 25-year-old is contracted to Trabzonspor until the summer of 2020 and has scored six goals for the club since joining from Lazio in August 2016.
