South Korean Club Suwon FC Beat Motherwell To Signature Of Chisom Egbuchulam
Published: January 11, 2019Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that former Falkenbergs FF striker Chisom Egbuchulam is set to be unveiled by South Korean club Suwon FC.
Subject to a traditional medical, Egbuchulam will pen a one-year deal with Suwon FC with an option for an additional season built into the contract.
The 26-year-old was issued a visa this week and will jet out to South Korea on Sunday, January 13, along with his representatives to formalize his transfer to the K League 2 side.
Georgian club FC Torpedo Kutaisi were the first to make a move for Egbuchulam immediately after the end of the 2018 season when it became clear he was not going to extend his contract with Falkenbergs FF.
Scottish Premiership side Motherwell and Turkish duo Giresunspor and Osmanlispor were also interested in his signature but the offer from Suwon was too good to turn down.
He is in line to pocket US$600,000 in his first season with Suwon FC and stands to earn more if he remains with the team for the 2020 campaign.
Suwon finished seventh in the K League 2 last season with 42 points from 36 games.
