2019 U19 EURO : Juventus' Iweru Among Five Nigeria-Eligible Players Named On Rosters

Three players of Nigerian descent have been included on the Republic of Ireland roster for the upcoming UEFA European Under-19 Championships.
Norwich City defender Andrew Omobamidele has earned his first call-up to the Republic of Ireland U19 squad and he is joined on the roster by former Southampton wonderkid Jonathan Afolabli and Derby County's Festy Ebosele.
Adam Idah who was recently promoted to Norwich City's first team, Southampton's Michael Obafemi and Manchester City's Gavin Bazunu are all eligible to participate at the U19 EURO but have been omitted by manager Tom Mohan.
The Irish will face Czech Republic, Norway and France in Group B and they begin their campaign against the Scandinavians at the Yerevan Football Academy Stadium on July 15.
Paolo Gozzi Iweru (Juventus) and Destiny Udogie Iyenoma (Hellas Verona) have been named in the Italy squad for the U19 EURO.
The Italians face hosts Armenia, Portugal and Spain in Group A and their first game comes up on Sunday against the Portuguese at the Banants Stadium, Yerevan.
The 2001-born Iweru made his first team debut for Juventus in a Serie A match against SPAL on April 13, 2019.
