Rohr Reveals Kalu Will Be Useful Vs Brazil, Maja Not Far From Another Super Eagles Invite
Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr believes Bordeaux winger Samuel Kalu will be one of the important players for his side in next month's international friendly against Brazil.

The German observed the winger at close quarters as Bordeaux were defeated 1-0 by Paris Saint-Germain in the Ligue 1 on Saturday and was not satisfied with his performance.

The trickery of Kalu earned Nigeria a penalty, which was converted by Victor Osimhen, in their last friendly against Ukraine, something which was missing from his game against PSG.

''He will be useful for us against Brazil. Like the team, he did not try enough, we did not see his qualities of dribbling, speed,'' Rohr was quoted as saying by Sud Ouest.

Josh Maja was an unused substitute against PSG and Rohr has revealed he is keeping tabs on the former Sunderland starlet with a view to a call-up to the Super Eagles, having made his debut off the bench against the Ukrainians.

He added : ''He deserved his first selection and is not far from the 23''.

While Kalu has started all the eight matches played by Bordeaux this season, Maja was a substitute in seven games.
