BENTLEY: It's Fun To Play Football Now
Published: May 19, 2012
Ahead of Sunday's meeting with Brann SK, Norwegian team Aalesund must be wary of the opponents fiery attack comprising of two in-form Nigerians, Kim Ojo and Chuks Akabueze.
Indeed, Brann have scored 15 goals in their last three games in all competitions, Nigeria international Chuks Akabueze accounting for four of those goals including a memorable hat-trick against Lillestrom.
''It's fun to play football now. The statistics from last week is absolutely fantastic. We enjoy them. These moments we have, and I waited a long time.
''All the way, we have relied on the coach, and proud of our skills. Now we get paid for it,'' says Akabueze to Norwegian daily, Aftenposten.
Akabueze is enjoying a new lease of life at Brann. In the close season, there was talk of a departure from the club. He changed his mind and promised to stay and fight for a first team shirt. Now, he is repaying the faith of Coach Rune Skarsfjord.
