Italian Serie A club Sampdoria are leading the race to sign Nigeria U20 hopeful Chikezie Miracle Nwaorisa, according to our colleagues at Calciomercato.com.
The Italian transfer market website has claimed that the Blucerchiati are on the verge of announcing the signing of the talented midfielder who is also on the wishlist of Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur, Villarreal and Dinamo Zagreb.
The 2000-born player is currently on the books of Spartaks Jurmala and is valued in the region of 1.5 million euros by the Latvian top flight club.
Since the start of the 2019 season, the teenage midfielder has made three appearances for Spartaks Jurmala, scoring on his professional debut against FK Jelgava after coming off the bench.
It is claimed that Nwaorisa will be included on the Nigeria roster for next month's FIFA U20 World Cup in Poland.
Ikechukwu Kalu and Stefano Okaka have played for Sampdoria's first team in the past.
