Sevilla's Adams and Ejuke join Osimhen and Bassey in scoring before Afcon duty

Sevilla forwards Akor Adams and Chidera Ejuke joined their Super Eagles teammates, striker Victor Osimhen and defender Calvin Bassey, in scoring for their clubs ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

The four players are part of Nigeria’s 28-man squad and are set to join the Super Eagles training camp in Cairo, which opened on Sunday.

Akor Adams ended a seven-game goal drought on Sunday, scoring for Sevilla in their 4-0 LaLiga victory over Real Oviedo.

The goal came in the 4th minute when he was released by Lucien Agoume, surged into the box, and finished past Oviedo goalkeeper Aaron Escandell.

Sevilla doubled their lead in the 22nd minute when Djibril Sow received a pass inside the box and smashed a low shot into the bottom left corner.

The third goal came in the 51st minute through Batista Mendy, who converted a pass from Akor Adams into the bottom right corner.

Chidera Ejuke completed the scoring in the 89th minute with an individual effort.

He took the ball inside the penalty area and sent a low strike into the middle of the goal past Escandell to make it 4-0.

All four players are expected to participate in the Super Eagles training camp in Cairo ahead of Nigeria’s matches at the Africa Cup of Nations.
