Sixteen players invited for the 2022 World Cup qualifying matches against Central African Republic have reported for international duty.
The players in camp are Chidera Ejuke, Daniel Akpeyi, Onuachu Paul, Samuel Kalu, Kevin Akpoguma, Jamilu Collins, Innocent Bonke, Chidozie Awaziem, Taiwo Awoniyi, William Ekong, Frank Onyeka, Leon Balogun, Joseph Aribo, Calvin Bassey, Ola Aina and Ahmed Musa.
Seven players namely Victor Osimhen, Maduka Okoye, Kelechi Iheanacho, Kenneth Omeruo, Simon Moses, Francis Uzoho and Shehu Abdullahi are expected to join the team on Tuesday.
With the exception of Uzoho, the aforementioned players were in action for their respective clubs on Sunday, October 3.
On Monday, the Super Eagles began preparation for the home match against Central African Republic with a gym session inside the Eko Hotels & Suites.
Nigeria will qualify for the third and final round
of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers with two games to spare if they beat
Central African Republic home and way, and other results go their way.
