Odion Ighalo has revealed what he went through supporting Manchester United back in Nigeria before he made it as a professional footballer.
The former Nigeria international is a lifelong United fan and sealed a dream move to the Old Trafford side in the January transfer window, initially on a five-month loan deal before it was extended until the end of next month.
Ighalo supported the Red Devils with all his heart and used to save up his pocket money to watch the club play in local viewing centers and admitted that he felt bad to the point of crying when they lose a game.
"If Manchester United are playing on a Saturday, you have to pull on your Manchester United shirt and go to the viewing centre looking smart," said Ighalo to UTD Podcast.
"When the game started, sometimes it would be so hot because there was no air conditioning, then you have to take off your shirt and you’re fanning yourself.
"Then after the viewing centre, at the end of the game we’re arguing about the match from the viewing centre to our home.

"Sometimes I cry if Manchester United lose a game. You cry because you come home and see people arguing and saying bad things to you.
"Sometimes I shed tears because you don’t want your team to lose. That’s how crazy it was back then."
Shanghai Shenhua loanee Ighalo has played 23 games for United since joining the club eleven months ago, scoring five goals in Cup competitions.
